Well, I want to wish Cara all the best with Pearl, her new 75-pound puppy. She is simply gorgeous. I love, love, love chocolate labs. I am happy for you guys.
So I think I will add some pictures of my trip to Vancouver now, seeing as they are way out of date. It's been a month and I haven't shown you anything. So here we go! This is what's new with me, as of last month.
This is "ROO", I am sure you have all heard about the controversy regarding this little guy, well, he isn't so little really, he took up 3 levels of the building, but he is cute, and we are all glad the IOC decided to let him stay. He's fun, not controversial. Stranger and stupider things have happened during the Olympics; let the athletes live in peace and harmony with him.
"The Canadian Moose," our athletes' Mascot
By the end of the Olympics, all the Athletes had signed him. Some in places that cannot be mentioned here. For the love of Animals, have a little consideration for his/her private areas. He's made of fibreglass and was a fun addition to the village.
"Gold Medal Arches"
This is what I would walk by every day to go to work. Talk about intimidation. How can you not want a Big Mac with hot golden fries? I know I did, but they wouldn't let us have them for free; they actually increased their prices. Propaganda, I tell you... Propaganda.

"Ali & Linda"
This is one of my good friends that I met out west. She and I worked pretty much every shift together, and it was hilarious. On the shifts we worked outside, we did aerobics to keep warm; she used to be an instructor, and she was pretty impressed at my aerobics skills. lol

"Ali & Johanna"
Another one of my favourite people in Vancouver, we got along really well, and had a great time welcoming the athletes home from a long day of practice or training. They can be really crabby coming home, but when you say Welcome home, their tune changes quite quickly.
There are so many pictures that I want to share, so you'll have to go to my Facebook account to see them all. Just look for Alison Proulx, and add me as a friend, and I will add you. I have a limited profile, so you won't just be able to see them. You'll have to be like everyone else and wait patiently.
Some call it British Columbia, Canada,
But we call it HOME!
But we call it HOME!
